Set somewhere in the Caribbean, Vacation Friends 2 was primarily filmed in Oahu, Hawaii.
The sequel to the 2021 crazy comedy features a fictional resort, called the Kim Wae Hotel and a few other locations you can visit in real life in the Aloha State.

In addition to the return of all the main cast members from the first installment (John Cena, Meredith Hagner, Lil Rel Howery and Yvonne Orji), Steve Buscemi also stars as Kyla's father.

Where was Vacation Friends 2 filmed?
The modern hall of the Hawaii Convention Center in Honolulu served as the Miami Airport from which the quartet departs on vacation.
This building has been featured in many other films shot on the island, including Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston comedy Murder Mystery 2.
The Jurassic World visitor center was also partially filmed here.
The Kim Wae Hotel
The main setting of the film is the Korean-owned resort, the fictional Kim Wae Hotel.
This is actually the magnificent Turtle Bay Resort located on Oahu's North Shore at Kawela Bay.
Nestled on 1,300 acres of secluded coastline, this luxury resort is only minutes away from historic landmarks and popular attractions such as the town of Haleiwa and the Polynesian Cultural Center.

You can stay in an oceanfront room in the main building, which has 408 guest rooms and suites from about US$1,000 per night.
Located just a stone's throw from the water's edge, staying in one of the 42 exclusive ocean bungalows cost up to $2,000 per night.
The facilities include a private spa, gym, tennis court, golf, pools, and the wedding pavilion (pictured), doubling in the film as the Sunrise Café.
This is the same hotel of the 2019 ABC movie Same Time, Next Christmas.
However, the buddy group's suite is an opulent house at 152 Kokee Place in Portlock, Honolulu.
Designed by renowned Hawaiian architect Jim McPeak, this vacation home, called Sea Cliff Chic, is an 8,800-square-foot, six-bedroom oceanfront vacation home available for between $120,000 and $250,000 per month.
Many celebrities have stayed at this property, including Justin Bieber and Jo Koy, just to name some.

The meditation temple before the fire is an image from the Haeamjeong Pavilion located near the Chuam Chotdaebawi Rock in Donghae-si, South Korea.

Some of the night party scenes were filmed on a set located between Tropical Farms Macadamia Nuts and Hale Nanea in Kaneohe.
This spot is a very popular filming location, that has appeared in many productions, including Triple Frontier (2019) and The Wrong Missy (2020).

The Balinese gazebos were originally built for the wedding scene on the shores of Moli'i Fishpond in Kualoa.

The surfing scene was recorded on Sunset Beach Park, known for its big wave surfing during the winter season.
Stretching for about two and a half miles from Waimea Bay to Sunset Beach, the sandy coast of Oahu's North Shore is probably the most famous expanse of surfing beaches in the world.

The filmmakers used stock footage of the historic Dragonara Casino (or Dragonara Palace) located in St. Julian's, on the Mediterranean island of Malta, for the casino's exterior.

The beach in Cuba where the plane takes off was filmed at Papa'Iloa Beach.

The plane crash scene was filmed at Kualoa Ranch.
Kualoa is a beautiful nature preserve and working cattle ranch known for its beautiful scenery and popularity as a filming location for movies and television shows.

Warren's house is one of the homes that served as Robin's Nest for the Magnum series in Kaneohe.
The valley with all the houses where the plane crashes looks like the Hakipu'u Valley at Kualoa Ranch with a ton of CGI.

The container sequence was shot on a set built at Barber's Point Harbor in Kapolei near Ko'Olina.
This is the same place where the Black Pearl became Queen Anne's Revenge during the filming of the Pirates of the Caribbean saga.
