The Same Time, Next Christmas hotel
The key location of the movie is the hotel, filmed at the Turtle Bay Resort, also called The Ritz-Carlton O‘ahu.Many scenes were shot at this complex, located in the north of Oahu at Kawela Bay.
The glitter fight took place in the wedding pavilion, while the Luau feast and reindeer games were filmed in the hotel gardens near the seaside.

The yoga and beach scenes were set on the Kuilima Cove side.
Olivia’s hotel room is in a building on the Turtle Bay side, overlooking the beach where the roasting marshmallows scene was filmed.
This resort was also featured in an episode of the second season of the Magnum PI series, listed in our report: Where is Magnum PI filmed?
Several scenes were also filmed at the Kahala Hotel and Resort in Honolulu.
The lobby, hotel entrance, Olivia and Greg’s romantic dinner at Hoku’s, the seaside proposal, and the snowing scene were all shot here.
This hotel is also the same location where Vacation Friends 2 was filmed.

Apart from a few establishing shots, the Cincinnati scenes were all filmed in Honolulu.
Olivia’s office is on the 16th floor of the First Hawaiian Bank building, while the snowy street scenes were set at SALT At Our Kakaako.
The waterfall is another highlight for those seeking the movie’s filming locations: Waimea Falls, a popular tourist attraction, is located in the north of the island.
Many productions have taken advantage of the extraordinary beauty of this spot, where visitors can enjoy a splash, including the Jumanji 2017 sequel and Triple Frontier.

Jeff’s boat is also kept nearby, at Haleiwa Harbor, close to the falls.
