Although it is set in the fictional town of Briggs, Maine, as well as Boston and New York, I Will Find You was primarily filmed in Ontario, Canada.

Briggs, Maine

The former maximum-security prison Kingston Penitentiary in Ontario doubles as Briggs Penitentiary in the series.
Opened in 1835, this is one of the most famous correctional institutions in Canadian history, operating continuously for nearly 178 years until it was closed in 2013.
Today, the site is a major tourist attraction offering guided tours, and one of the filming locations where Mayor of Kingstown was filmed.

The diner in the first episode is the Sherwood Restaurant in Brantford, a charming retro diner and catering venue.

The Maanjiwe Nendamowinan building on the University of Toronto Mississauga campus served as the Boston General Hospital.
Opened in 2018, this modern complex houses many of the campus's humanities and social sciences departments.
Its name in Anishinaabemowin (an Indigenous language) means “gathering of minds.”

In the fourth episode, Hayden (Milo Ventimiglia) is in one of the spaces at the Sheldon & Tracy Levy Student Learning Centre (formerly the Ryerson University Student Learning Centre).
