Briggs, Maine

Briggs Penitentiary
The former maximum-security prison Kingston Penitentiary in Ontario doubles as Briggs Penitentiary in the series.

Opened in 1835, this is one of the most famous correctional institutions in Canadian history, operating continuously for nearly 178 years until it was closed in 2013.

Today, the site is a major tourist attraction offering guided tours, and one of the filming locations where Mayor of Kingstown was filmed.

Sherwood Restaurant in Brantford
The diner in the first episode is the Sherwood Restaurant in Brantford, a charming retro diner and catering venue.

Boston General Hospital
The Maanjiwe Nendamowinan building on the University of Toronto Mississauga campus served as the Boston General Hospital.

Opened in 2018, this modern complex houses many of the campus's humanities and social sciences departments.

Its name in Anishinaabemowin (an Indigenous language) means “gathering of minds.”

Sovereign Ballroom at the Omni King Edward Hotel
The Sotheby’s auction in the second episode was filmed at the Sovereign Ballroom at the Omni King Edward Hotel in Toronto.

The ballroom is a restored Edwardian-style event space, featuring 24-foot ceilings and ornate crystal chandeliers.

The chase on the roofs was filmed in the block of houses between Colborne Street and Wellington Street, featuring many 19th–early 20th century buildings in St. Lawrence, Toronto.

In the fourth episode, Hayden (Milo Ventimiglia) is in one of the spaces at the Sheldon & Tracy Levy Student Learning Centre (formerly the Ryerson University Student Learning Centre).

This modern, glass-designed building was constructed in 2015 in downtown Toronto at Yonge and Gould Streets.
