Set at the fictional Briar University in Massachusetts, Off Campus was filmed entirely in Vancouver, British Columbia.

The romantic drama series, adapted from Elle Kennedy’s bestselling Off-Campus books, follows an elite university ice hockey team.
The series stars Belmont Cameli as team captain Garrett Graham and Ella Bright as music student Hannah Wells.

Off Campus locations

The Briar University Hawks ice hockey arena is the Doug Mitchell Thunderbird Sports Centre on the University of British Columbia (UBC) campus in Vancouver.
Rebuilt in 2008–2009, the complex contains three ice surfaces, including the 5,000-seat main arena featured in the series.

The Briar University

Briar University is an amalgam of several locations. Adams Hall in the series is the Irving K. Barber Learning Centre, with the iconic Ladner Clock Tower.
This is UBC’s central learning and library hub, built around the original 1925 Main Library.

The Bristol House is actually the UBC Chemistry Building.
Built in the 1920s, its heritage architecture has often served as a backdrop for productions filmed on campus, including The Adam Project and The Order series.

The Chan Centre for the Performing Arts stands in for the Kaufman Center, where Hannah attends her music lessons.
This spectacular concert hall has also featured in many productions filmed in the city, most recently in the second season of The Last of Us.

The Off Campus house

The fraternity house is a legacy residential property in Vancouver’s West Point Grey neighbourhood.
Built in 1915, this craftsman-style wood-frame residence is currently home to Sigma Phi Delta, UBC’s engineering fraternity chapter.

Malone's Diner and Bar exterior was filmed at The Heatley, a neighbourhood hangout located on the corner of the historic Heatley Block building in Vancouver’s Strathcona area.

Some exterior campus scenes, including the Briar U block party sequence, were filmed at the former Riverview Hospital in Coquitlam.
This is a location we’ve lost track of how many times we’ve seen on screen, having been used in countless productions, from Virgin River to the 2003 Christmas classic Elf.

The ice rink in the second episode, “The Practice,” is the Father David Bauer Arena, a smaller community rink that is part of the Thunderbird Sports Centre at UBC.

The scenes with Dean (Stephen Thomas Kalyn) and Allie (Mika Abdalla) in the New York apartment featured in episode six, “The Breakaway,” were filmed in the Den Suite at The Douglas Hotel in downtown Vancouver.
This two-level, social-style suite features a lounge with a fireplace, a billiards/pool table, and two loft-style bedrooms overlooking BC Place Stadium.

The scenes in the New York bar in episode seven, “The Faceoff,” were also filmed in a lounge at The Douglas Hotel.
Known for its modern design and rooftop urban park, the luxury complex offers standard rooms that typically range from around US$210–350 per night.
