Salinas Texas
The church in Salinas, Texas, from the scene where Nat finds the bandit with a scorpion tattoo, was filmed at the legendary Bonanza Creek Ranch near Santa Fe.

Constructed in 1955, this veteran location in the film industry has hosted many productions including Tom Hank's News of the World, John Carpenter's Vampires, or All the Pretty Horses.

Also, more recently, this was the set where the fatal on-set shooting with actor Alec Baldwin took place while filming the movie Rust.

Douglastown Texas
Former Nat's lover, Mary Fields (played by Zazie Beetz), runs a chain of saloons from her base in Douglastown, Texas.

This village is the same mining town, called La Belle, built at the famous San Cristobal Ranch near Santa Fe for the 2017 Netflix series Godless.

The Harder They Fall saloon
Hotel La Belle became Stage Coach Mary's Saloon. The interior with the great staircase was also filmed here on location.

This movie set, one of the largest in New Mexico, comprises 28 buildings in total.

Cumbres and Toltec Scenic Railroad
The gang led by Trudy Smith (played by Regina King) and Cherokee Bill (Lakeith Stanfield) has to assault a train to release Buck.

This scene was filmed at the Cumbres and Toltec Scenic Railroad, a historic restored steam locomotive and train from the 1880s.

The railroad travels 64 scenic miles from Antonito, in Colorado, to Chama, New Mexico, going through the San Juan Mountains and the Conejos Valley.

The colorful Redwood City, home of Buck's gang, was filmed in the iconic Silverado Movie Town at Cerro Pelon Movie Ranch, also known as Cooks Ranch.

This massive ranch in Galisteo, owned by fashion designer and filmmaker Tom Ford, occupies more than 20,000 acres.

The town has frequently been the setting for notable movies including Thor, Wild Wild West, Cowboys and Aliens, and The Missing.

The scene at Trudy’s saloon is an exact brick-by-brick replica of a building that once was the home of Civil War General Judah Benjamin. Then soldiers, shops, a restaurant or two, and most recently, the former beautifully decadent host to a strip club named Temptations nestled in the heart of Bourbon Street in New Orleans.

It is a haunted and unforgettable location, one of which I have done extensive research on for the better part of the last few decades. I just wanted to know if it inspired the set in the movie, if it was the actual location, or if it was a very strange coincidence.

Can anyone fill me in?
