Where was Scarpetta filmed? The house and the locations in Virginia

Posted by

Set primarily in Alexandria, Virginia, Scarpetta was filmed in and around Nashville, Tennessee.

Rosy McEwen as Kay

Adapted from Patricia Cornwell’s massive bestsellers, the forensic crime drama unfolds across dual timelines (the late 1990s and the present day), with Kay Scarpetta (Nicole Kidman/Rosy McEwen) investigating grisly murders that may connect to a serial killer across both eras.

Here is our spoiler-free guide to (almost) all the filming locations of Scarpetta. You’ll find the locations in order of their first appearance.

The Scarpetta locations

Scarpetta Bridge
One of the first locations in the first episode, "Bridge of Time, Part One", is the Market Street Bridge, also known as the John Ross Bridge, in Chattanooga.

Opened in 1917, there is no clock on the bridge, but the concrete surface was used in the past as advertising space.
