The Wrecking Crew locations

The movie opens with the camera flying over the Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort at night.
The building with the Robichaux sign on top is one of the towers in the complex.

The camera then moves almost three miles away for the Chinese New Year celebration, filmed on Kekaulike Street in Honolulu’s Chinatown.
The hit-and-run scene was filmed outside the Miao De Cultural and Educational Center on Maunakea Street.

The training pool scene was filmed at the West Wave Pool and Leisure Centre in Henderson, a suburban area in West Auckland, New Zealand.

The Wrecking Crew house

James’ family lives in a lovely home by the seaside, located in Piha, a laid-back coastal village on Auckland’s west coast, also in New Zealand.
This four-bedroom house, built in the 1960s, is next to the iconic Lion Rock, which appears in the background of some scenes.
Piha Beach was the main location where the The Wilds series island was filmed.

Jonny’s home in Oklahoma was filmed in Pukekohe, a town at the southern edge of Auckland known for its lush, fertile farmland.

The funeral scene was filmed at Makua Beach, a remote, undeveloped beach on the west (leeward) coast of Oʻahu.
With its wide sandy shoreline and popularity among experienced surfers, the beach remains largely untouched, with no facilities or lifeguards.

The karaoke bar is Vegas, a cocktail bar in the Kalihi area of Honolulu, located west of downtown and near the airport and ports.

The Honolulu Police Department scenes were filmed in ParkCity, located in the St Johns suburb, a residential and commercial area in the eastern part of Auckland City.

Walter’s apartment entrance was filmed at Yong’s Kitchen, a restaurant on Maunakea Street in Chinatown, Honolulu.

However, the scenes with Pika (Jacob Batalon) doing parkour were filmed in and around St. Kevin’s Arcade, an art deco shopping arcade on K Road (Karangahape Road) in central Auckland.

The Yakuza action scene in Honolulu was actually filmed on Queen Street and Park Avenue in Ōtāhuhu, a suburb in South Auckland.

The bike ride was shot on the Kalanianaʻole Highway in Oʻahu, featuring views of Makapuʻu Beach.

The Hawaiian Kingdom was filmed next to Waiʻanae Small Boat Harbor on Oʻahu’s west coast.

The corpse is found on Makapuʻu Beach Park on the southeast coast of Oʻahu, a spot often used as a filming location and known for its dramatic sea-cliff environment.

Marcus Robichaux (played by Claes Bang) lives in a magnificent house on the Mahurangi East Peninsula, a rural coastal area north of Auckland, although the Hawaiian mountains were CGI’d in the background.
Sitting high on 14 acres of land and surrounded by beaches, this luxurious cliff-top estate boasts an indoor heated pool, a gym area, and stunning views over Martins Bay.

Monica’s scene was filmed at Hokua at 1288 Ala Moana, a high-rise condominium tower in the Kaka‘ako district of Honolulu.

The airport scenes were actually filmed at the Hawaii Convention Center in Honolulu.

Very little of the car chase sequence was filmed on the actual H-3 Interstate Highway, which connects Joint Base Pearl Harbor–Hickam with Kāneʻohe.
The filmmakers used Pukekohe Park Thoroughbred Racetrack, a major horse racing venue in the Auckland Region, to film all the stunts.

The hungry gang stops at Zippy’s in Ewa, a branch of the popular Hawaiian fast-casual restaurant chain.

The scene with Nani and Mahoe was filmed at Aliʻiōlani Hale, the former royal palace of King Kamehameha V.
Today, it serves primarily as the home of the Hawaiʻi State Supreme Court.
