Where was Boston Blue filmed? Guide to all the locations

If you can’t recognize many locations, it may be because a large portion of Boston Blue was also filmed in Ontario, Canada.
A spin-off of Blue Bloods, the series follows Danny Reagan after he relocates to Boston to join the city’s police department.

Boston Blue locations

The Longfellow Bridge, Faneuil Hall, Quincy Market… every episode features numerous Boston landmark establishing shots, but only a segment of the action was actually filmed in Beantown.

The exterior of Boston General Hospital is the Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital in the Charlestown Navy Yard, with the name sign digitally added for the shot.

In the first episode, "Faith and Family," Detective Danny Reagan (Donnie Wahlberg) chases a suspect on Washington Street, in the heart of downtown Boston.
The chase also winds through Granary Burying Ground, one of Boston’s most historic cemeteries.

Attorney Mae Silver’s (Gloria Reuben) office is located in the Ames Building near Government Center.
Completed in 1893, it stands as one of Boston’s earliest skyscrapers and, at 188 feet, was once among the tallest masonry structures in the United States.

Erin’s house exterior may resemble Beacon Hill, but it is actually located in Toronto’s Annex neighborhood.

In the first episode, a scene was filmed at Park Street subway station and Boston Common, with the famous golden dome of the Massachusetts State House serving as a backdrop.

The Kingsway Baptist Church in Etobicoke, Ontario, doubled as the Roxbury Baptist Church.

The Boston Police station is the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 001/042 in the Woodbine Corridor area of Toronto.

The AstraZeneca Canada building in Mississauga served as the exterior of the Boston Police Headquarters.

The white house featured in the second episode, “Teammates,” is a luxurious 10-bedroom estate in the prestigious Bridle Path neighborhood of Toronto.
Boasting 33,650 square feet, a pond, a tea house, and a sports court, this property was sold for about 13 million dollars.

It’s only the second episode, and Danny has already become a Red Sox fan.
Fenway Park, opened in 1912, is one of the oldest and most iconic baseball stadiums in the United States.

In the third episode, "History," several scenes are set between the Long Wharf, Boston’s historic waterfront pier, and Toronto’s Queen’s Quay.

Danny and Lena (Sonequa Martin-Green) look fantastic solving a crime framed by Monument Avenue in Charlestown, Boston.
This elegant street, lined with many 19th-century houses, leads to the Bunker Hill Monument, a 221-foot granite obelisk commemorating the first major battle of the American Revolution.

Also in the fourth episode, “Rites of Passage,” a scene was filmed at the Old Toronto Post Office, a historic Beaux-Arts building that was completed in 1873.

From Paul Revere Park, Sean (Mika Amonsen) and his patrol partner have excellent views of the Leonard P. Zakim Bunker Hill Memorial Bridge in Boston.

The First Avenue Bank was filmed at the Dominion Public Building near Union Station in Toronto.
The interior was also filmed in the Long Room of this large building, which was originally constructed in 1935 to house federal government offices.

The third episode scene by the waterfront was actually filmed at Toronto’s Queen’s Quay, easily recognizable by the landmarks in the background.
