The exterior of the psychiatric hospital in the series is the Midland Hotel in Morecambe, Lancashire, with some CGI used to add the fence and enlarge the main building.
Opened in 1933, this seafront Art Deco–style hotel has room rates typically starting from around £105–£140 per night for standard rooms.

You may have recognised the façade of Liverpool Town Hall on Castle Street in the scene where Laz is driving through a street where there has been a water leak.
The skyscrapers, added in digitally in the background, may give the impression that the series takes place in a big city like London.
