Welcome to Winherst: Where was Fool Me Once filmed? The house and all the locations

Posted by

Set in the fictional town of Winherst, Fool Me Once was primarily filmed in and around Manchester.

The eight-part series is based on the 2016 book of the same name by crime novelist Harlan Coben.

Winherst Fool Me Once

The story follows Maya Stern (played by Michelle Keegan), a former special operations pilot who embarks on a suspenseful journey to uncover the truth about her deceased husband.

The show is part of a deal that Coben signed with Netflix to adapt 14 of his books into series for the streaming service company, including Safe (2018), The Stranger, The Woods (both 2020), The Innocent, Gone for Good (2021), and Stay Close (2022).

Welcome to Winherst and our spoiler-free guide to all the filming locations of Fool Me Once. You'll find the locations more or less in order of appearance.

It was Maya’s sister and brother-in-law’s house, which I believe is located in Bramhall, and not South Manchester as stated here.

The first interior shot of Crawmond Place is 3 Hardman Square, a large office building in Spinningfields, not Chancery Place or Ducie Street Warehouse.
