Where was Nine Perfect Strangers filmed?

The fictional wellness retreat, Zauberwald, is actually Blühnbach Castle, a historic hunting lodge once owned by Archduke Franz Ferdinand, nestled in the Austrian Alps near Salzburg.
Surrounded by dramatic alpine scenery, the castle is now privately owned and rarely open to the public.

The modern 'boxes' where Masha stays are the chalets at Gradonna Mountain Resort, a luxurious alpine retreat in East Tyrol, located in real life more than two hours’ drive from Zauberwald.
With large panoramic glass windows overlooking the landscape, the chalets offer up to 250 m² of space, including two double bedrooms.
Prices range between €478 and €1,355 per night, depending on the chalet type, number of guests, and season.

This establishing shot of the town, shown in the series as located below the hotel, is taken from the spectacular Hallstatt Skywalk.
With its sharp bell tower, Hallstatt is one of the most picturesque lakeside villages in Central Europe.

Brian (played by Murray Bartlett) and his baggage enjoy a fun ride on the Salzbergbahn funicular, which transports visitors from the village up to the Salzberg salt mines and the Hallstatt Skywalk.

Also known as the World Heritage View, the Skywalk is a steel platform that extends 12 meters from the mountainside, perched 360 meters above the town.

In the third episode, "The Field Trip", Hallstatt’s main square and the Friedhof Hallstatt cemetery are also featured, both part of this charming UNESCO World Heritage town.

Some Zauberwald interiors, including the grand staircase, were filmed at the opulent Hotel Schloss Leopoldskron, an 18th-century Rococo palace in Salzburg.
Suites within this historic residence, which famously served as a filming location for The Sound of Music, start at around €285 per night.

The hall in the fourth episode, "The Major Lift", was filmed in the palace’s magnificent Marble Hall, built in 1736.
The Tranquillum House in the first season

In the first season, set in California, the fictional Tranquillum House was filmed at the SOMA wellness retreat in Australia.
Located just outside Byron Bay, the retreat sits on 22 acres of lush rainforest and features modern architecture with expansive glass walls, a geodesic yoga dome, a freshwater pool, and bamboo groves.

The waterfall scene was filmed at Killen Falls, a 10-meter-high waterfall on Emigrant Creek in New South Wales.
