The Overcompensating Yates University

Victoria College and the St. George campus of the University of Toronto stand in for Yates University in the series.
This is the university’s historic and central campus, located in downtown Toronto.

Also known as "Old Vic," the college's main building is a notable example of Richardsonian Romanesque architecture, completed in 1892.
As Skinner told The Cut, he drew inspiration from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., his alma mater, for the East Coast vibe of Yates University.
It just so happens that Overcompensating was released on the same day as the Netflix series Bet, set at St. Dominic’s school, and was also filmed at Victoria College.

The exterior of the Rock Bar in the second episode, "Who's That Girl," was filmed at FIIT Co., a boutique boxing and fitness studio located in Toronto’s Leslieville neighborhood.
