Ready for a new sparkling Hallmarkie? Part of the New year new movies programming event, this spirited film takes you to the unique world of ice wine.
Set in the fictional Hollingbrook Vineyard and Winery in Hudson Valley, New York, The Perfect Pairing was primarily filmed in Ontario's Niagara region.

The story revolves around Christina, played by Nazneen Contractor, an influential food and wine critic who ends up making a rare ice wine with the Hollingbrooks, the members of a winery she panned in the past.
Will Christina fall in love with Michael (played by Brennan Elliott), the handsome head of the family business?

The real Hollingbrook Winery
In the movie, Christina has a small accident and loses her memory at the Hollingbrook Vineyard and Winery in Hudson Valley.
The Peller Estates Winery And Restaurant, located on the outskirts of Niagara-on-the-Lake, served as the perfect backdrop for the main filming location of the movie.

The awarded Peller Estates Winery started crafting wines more than 50 years ago.
If you are visiting, you can enjoy a glass of wine at their Winter Wine Garden, have dinner at the outstanding restaurant, or stay at the Riverbend Inn, a hotel hosted in a historic building adjacent to the winery.
Of course, you can book a tasting tour in the vineyard, and descend into the underground 300-barrel cellar to sip some of the magnificent house wines.
However, one of the most unique experiences at the Peller States is stepping into the chill 10 Below Ice Wine Lounge to taste their icy wines.
The icewine is created from the juice of naturally frozen grapes hand-picked at night in the middle of the freezing Canadian winter.
Once picked, the grapes are pressed immediately when they are still frozen at a temperature below -10ºC (14 °F).
The igloo-like lounge seems out of the icy hotel in Quebec where Hallmark filmed last year the Baby, It’s Cold Inside.
The Peller Estates is located just west of the U.S.-Canada border, in Niagara-on-the-Lake.
Nestled in the north corner of the Niagara area, on the shores of Lake Ontario, the picturesque town of Niagara-on-the-Lake combines a beautiful environment with plenty of old-world charm architecture in the heart of Ontario Wine Country.
The region hosts several wineries, breweries, and distilleries, situated only about 20 kilometers from the famous Horseshoe Falls in Niagara Falls.
According to The NOTL Local, the production was planned to film on Queen and Market Streets in Niagara-on-the-Lake, but the request was turned down due to the pandemic situation at the time of filming in March 2021.
The filmmakers ended up shooting the street scenes in Cambridge, ON.

The scene filmed at the train station looks like the Port Stanley Terminal Rail on the shores of Lake Erie, although we can't confirm this 100%.

Meet The Perfect Pairing cast
Indian-Canadian actress Nazneen Contractor also appeared in Hallmark's 2021 film A Winter Getaway and The Christmas Ring (2020).
Contractor also starred in the CBC television show The Border and has been featured in many productions including the Fox drama series 24, the CBS comedy Rules of Engagement, and NBC’s Heroes Reborn.
