Falling Inn Love was filmed entirely in New Zealand's North Island. The filming location of the fictional village of Beechwood Downs is a small and picturesque town called Thames.
After losing her job and breaking up with her boyfriend, Gabriela Diaz (played by Christina Milian), leaves San Francisco to claim an inn won in a strange Internet contest.

The house turns out to be a sort of money pit, but she meets the hot local guy Jake (Adam Demos), who can help to transform the house into an environmentally friendly home.
New Zealand is one of our favorite places, so we can't miss the chance to explore the country a little bit more, this time following the story of Netflix's romantic comedy Falling Inn Love.
Where was Falling Inn Love filmed?
The lovely village of Beechwood Downs was shot in Thames, a small town at the southwestern end of the awesome Coromandel Peninsula.

The charming Cottage Lane Cafe is the Sugar Cafe in Thames's Pollen Street.

The local hardware store where Gabriela and Jake go for supplies and bump into each other is the Read Bros Hardware at 308 Pollen St.

The Tea Rose House mansion is a real bed & breakfast: Brunton House, located also in Thames.

The beach where the couple goes for a picnic and swims in the sunset is Bethells Beach (Te Henga), the same location doubling as The Wilds series island.
This awesome spot is actually located very close to Auckland, on the west coast of the island.

ReplyDeleteThe house in the background where she gets off the bus is Inland Rd Helensville. It's the Mackenzie Farm and was used on a NZ national bank add years ago.
