Curfew Filming Locations: The sets where the Sky One series is filmed

Posted by

The Curfew series feels like a British modern version of those crazy '70s or 80s road movies like Mad Max or the Cannonball saga.

The 25 vehicles of the participants in this illegal race, from London to the Scottish Highlands, have a distinctive retro-look.

For the ultimate winner, the prize is freedom from a totalitarian government that imposes the curfew and controls citizens' lives.

We hope that Game Of Thrones star Sean Bean is going to make it through the first season.

The Sky One show is also starring Billy Zane (the bad guy in Titanic), Adrian Lester (Mary Queen of Scots, Riviera), Adam Brody (The O.C.), Elijah Rowen (Vikings), Phoebe Fox, and Miranda Richardson just to name a few.

Curfew was primarily filmed in and around Manchester, Liverpool, Cheshire, and the Peak District. Here is our spoiler-free report of the series filming locations:

Where was Curfew filmed?

Where is Curfew filmed
Lots of action takes place in Liverpool city centre. The crew filmed the car chase scene from episode one in Water Street.

The blue McLaren 570 GT goes through the streets around the City Hall, before ending up in Churchill Way (A57), near the World Museum.

There are also scenes with people opening a business in the morning when the curfew ends, shot in Tithebarn Street.

The streets of Manchester were extensively used to host the production. Sean Bean's workshop exteriors look like the arcs in Livery Street.

Curfew filmed some scenes outside Old Granada Studios and Byrom Street. The East Lancashire Road (A58) was also closed for a few nights to shoot some stunt scenes.

The new Netflix series The Stranger is completely filmed in the Grand Manchester area. You can find all The Stranger filming locations here.
