Cher is acting as a guest star, and the returning cast includes Hollywood stars Meryl Streep, Amanda Seyfried, Pierce Brosnan, Colin Firth, and Dominic Cooper.

The original 2008 film was filmed on the Greek island of Skopelos. However, on this occasion, the production is not going again to the Hellenic country.
