Sharp Objects is a new eight-episode drama about Camille Preaker, a reporter who after a stay in a psychiatric hospital is sent on assignment to her hometown, to cover the violent murder of a young girl and the disappearance of another. While trying to solve the mystery, she will have to confront the demons from her past.

This dark show is based on the book by Gillian Flynn, the author of Gone Girl. Directed by Jean-Marc Vallée (Big Little Lies), the production is starring Amy Adams (Arrival, Enchanted), and features great cinematography and a brilliant soundtrack.

The series is set in the fictional town of Wind Gap, Missouri. Most of Sharp Objects was filmed in Los Angeles, Northern California and Georgia. We will be updating and expanding this spoiler-free report every week as new filming locations are revealed:

  1. Nice work, the alley where the body was found is on Forsyth St by the train station.

  2. Gillian Flynn is a female author. Your pronoun at the end of the article requires correction.

  3. Great show. Thanks for taking the time to compile this info! I played a charity concert at that train station about 15 years ago.

  4. Don't believe Southern Railway served Missouri. After all, "Southern serves the South". When the scenery folks were repainting the caboose they should have changed the railway name to one that served Missouri.

  5. Further research shows that Southern Railway did serve Missouri. I stand corrected. Might as well strike the previous comment.
