Set five years after the events of the original movie A Simple Favor, Another Simple Favor was filmed entirely in Italy.

Featuring gorgeous locations in the island of Capri and in Rome, the story follows Stephanie Smothers (Anna Kendrick), now a renowned true crime vlogger.

A Simple Favor 2 in Capri

Stephanie is unexpectedly invited by her enigmatic former friend Emily Nelson (Blake Lively) to serve as maid of honor at her lavish wedding in Capri.

Here is our spoiler-free guide to all the filming locations of Another Simple Favor. You'll find the locations in order of first appearance.

Where was Another Simple Favor filmed?

In Connecticut, at the beginning of the movie, the kids are getting ready to be sent to Camp Minnetonka.

This scene was actually filmed in Italy, at the Designer Outlet Castel Romano, a shopping mall located about 30 minutes south of Rome’s city center.

Another Simple Favor in Capri

Another Simple Favor Capri
Located in the Gulf of Naples, Capri is known as a luxurious destination for celebrities and tourists alike.

The island is one of the more expensive places to visit in Italy. It’s small, highly sought-after, and offers little in the way of budget accommodation.

This glamorous destination has appeared in several notable productions, including The Talented Mr. Ripley (1999), and more recently in the Netflix series Ripley, where a stunning villa features prominently.

The Another Simple Favor hotel

Another Simple Favor hotel
Stephanie stays at the iconic Grand Hotel Quisisana, a historic five-star hotel located in the heart of the island.

Established in 1845, it has long been a favorite among celebrities, with prices ranging from $635 per night for a standard room to over $2,300 per night for a suite.

Grand Hotel Quisisana rooms
However, the Quisisana doesn’t offer suites as spectacular as the ones where Stephanie and Emily stay, which were likely filmed elsewhere.

It seems the producers couldn’t find the right location on the island, so the rooms were probably created on a set at Cinecittà Studios in Rome, maybe taking inspiration from the Piazzetta Diefenbach boutique four-star hotel in Capri.

Villa Jovis Capri
The wedding venue is an amalgam of several locations. There is indeed a Roman villa in Capri built by Emperor Tiberius, called Villa Jovis.

The 'Salto di Tiberio' ('Tiberius’ Leap') legend, that Tiberius was rumored to have thrown people off the cliffs, is also real.

However, only the cliff and the church, perched on a dramatic hill 330 meters above sea level next to the archaeological remains of Villa Jovis, are featured in the movie.

Villa dei Quintili Archaeological Park
Because as soon as the characters move to the banquet area, they’re jumping about 200 km north, to the Villa dei Quintili Archaeological Park near Rome.

The ruins of this 2nd-century Roman villa were digitally inserted into the background of the scene shown here.

Wedding at Hadrian's Villa
The wedding celebrations, featuring all the actors, were filmed at a third location, the famous Hadrian's Villa in Tivoli, near Rome.

The tables were set in the Doric Courtyard, part of the Greek-inspired architectural complex designed by Emperor Hadrian in the 2nd century AD.

Piazzetta di Capri
Back in Capri, Stephanie meets undercover FBI agent Irene Walker at the Bar Tiberio, in the small, central square where the town's church and city hall are located.

Punta Carena Lighthouse
The wedding sequence was filmed at the scenic Punta Carena Lighthouse, one of the oldest and most significant lighthouses in Italy, built in 1866.

The ramp that connects the lighthouse to this spot, perfect for watching the sunset, was specially built for the filming.

Filming at the Fontana di Trevi in Rome
Just in case there's anyone reading this who came from another planet and didn't recognize this location, the movie ends at a surprisingly empty Fontana di Trevi in Rome.
