Where was The Night Agent filmed? Filming locations guide

Now back for its third season, The Night Agent is a globe-trotting series filmed in several countries around the world.

If the first season was based in Vancouver, Canada, the second and third seasons expanded filming to New York, Washington, Thailand, Turkey, and Mexico.

Gabriel Basso as Peter Sutherland

Based on the novel of the same name by Matthew Quirk, the story follows Peter Sutherland, played by Gabriel Basso.

Sutherland is a low-level FBI agent assigned to monitor an emergency phone line that almost never rings—until one night, it does, pulling Peter into fieldwork.

Here is our spoiler-free guide to the filming locations of The Night Agent. Starting with season 3, you'll find the new locations listed in order of first appearance, with the season 2 locations below in the post.


The Night Agent locations

The Night Agent season 3
In the first episode of the third season, "Call Waiting," Peter is at the Thomas Jefferson Memorial staircase in Washington, DC.

Completed in 1943, the presidential monument was inspired by the Pantheon in Rome.

Galata Bridge
The action moves to Istanbul, Turkey, showing panoramic views of the Yeni Cami (New Mosque), the iconic Galata Tower, and the Galata Bridge spanning the Golden Horn.

The first shot with the cat is at the 16th-century Ottoman imperial Süleymaniye Mosque, one of the city's most important landmarks.

The Night Agent in Turkey
Peter is on Kıble Çeşmesi Street, located in the historic Fatih district, with the Kantarcılar Mosque minaret as a backdrop.

After entering a tea house, he walks through the famous Spice Bazaar (also known as Egyptian Bazaar), a colorful 17th-century covered market.

Sirkeci Railway Station
When he gets out the Bazaar he crosses a square in Eminönü where Yeni Cami is located, until the Sirkeci Railway Station, the former terminal stop of the Orient Express.

Today a section of this Art Nouveau landmark has been transfoemred into to the Istanbul Railway Museum.

Sirkeci restaurant 1912
The hotel bar is Sirkeci Lokantası 1912, an elegant restaurant located in the same area.

Founded in 1912, the restaurant was recently refurbished and reopened in 2022, carefully restoring its historic interior and gorgeous exterior facade.

Smithsonian's National Air and Space Museum
Catherine is at the Smithsonian's National Air and Space Museum in Washington, dedicated to the history of aviation and space exploration.

Tüpraş Stadium
Opened in 2016, Tüpraş Stadium, home to the soccer club Beşiktaş J.K., is located near Dolmabahçe Palace along the Bosphorus in Istanbul.

However, the chase scene after the match starts quite far from there, outside the Türkiye İş Bankası Museum, with the Yeni Mosque again in the background.

The helicopter is waiting by the Walls of Constantinople ruins, the remains of the former Christian city that fell to the Ottomans in 1453.

The Financial Register
The Financial Register office building, featured for the first time in the second episode, "Package Deal," is the Starrett-Lehigh Building in the Chelsea neighborhood of New York.

Completed in 1931, this massive Art Deco industrial building was originally designed for rail freight access, with trains entering the building; it has since been converted into office space for creative companies.

Peter McManus Cafe
The Peter McManus Cafe is a family-owned Irish pub established in 1936 in the Chelsea neighborhood of New York City.

Queensboro Bridge in the nigth
The scene pictured was filmed under the Queensboro Bridge on the Queens side of New York’s East River.

Oheka Castle Grand Ballroom
Many rooms of the White House, including the gala in the third episode, "Dark Matters," were filmed at the Oheka Castle on Long Island’s Gold Coast.

This grand French-style château, built in 1919 by financier Otto Hermann Kahn, now operates as a luxury hotel and event venue.

U and I Coffee Shop
The diner in the fourth episode, "Orion," is the former U & I Coffee Shop in Brooklyn.

Barrow Valley
The helipad is located on the East River in Lower Manhattan, with the Casa Cipriani hotel in the background.

The hotel is housed in the historic Battery Maritime Building, a magnificent century-old Beaux-Arts–style ferry terminal.

Seaside Palace casino
The Resorts World Catskills in Monticello, upstate New York, served as the fictional Seaside Palace Casino.

Nestled among the Catskill Mountains, the resort opened in 2018 on the site of the former Concord Hotel.

Widewater house Upper Nyack
The mansion in the sixth episode, "Murky Waters," is a restored Gilded Age estate called Widewater, located in Upper Nyack, NY.

Camino Real Polanco Mexico
Several scenes in the seventh episode, "Once Upon a Time...", were filmed in Mexico.

Camino Real Polanco Mexico, pictured, is an iconic five-star hotel in Mexico City, opposite Chapultepec Park and near the National Museum of Anthropology.

Designed by Ricardo Legorreta with input from Luis Barragán, it was opened in 1968 for the Mexico Olympics. Average nightly rates range from $200–400 USD.

Kiosco Morisco is a Neo-Mudéjar pavilion in Mexico City's Santa María la Ribera neighborhood, at the heart of Alameda Park.

Parroquia de la Sagrada Familia Roma Mexico
The church in 1995 is the Parroquia de la Sagrada Familia Catholic church in the popular Roma neighborhood in Mexico City.

Later in the same episode, there is a scene filmed on Tacuba Street, with the Palacio Postal and the Torre Latinoamericana as a backdrop.

Merchant's House Museum
The scene pictured was filmed near the Merchant's House Museum, on East 4th Street and Lafayette Street in NoHo, New York.

Chateau at Coindre Hall
In the ninth episode, "Lockstep", the mansion in the scene set twenty months earlier is the Chateau at Coindre Hall in Huntington, NY, overlooking Long Island Sound on 33 acres within Suffolk County Parks.

This 40-room, 80,000 square foot medieval French château-style property was built between 1906 and 1912 for a pharmaceutical magnate and now serves as a popular wedding and event venue.

Staten Island docks
The docks area was filmed in the north of Staten Island, near a Relyks Living furniture warehouse and the Bayonne Bridge.

Fosterfields Living Historical Farm
The farm in the series finale, "Razzmatazz", is the Fosterfields Living Historical Farm in Morris Township, New Jersey.

Established on land dating back to the 1760s, the property today operates as a 213-acre 1920s living history museum.

Sutton Tower penthouse
Freya’s apartment is a Sutton Tower penthouse, Midtown East Manhattan's tallest residential building (62-story, 847-ft) at 430 East 58th Street.

These top-floor residences, like Penthouse 80 and PH71, span up to 9,200 sq ft across duplex floors with 4–5 bedrooms, 15-ft ceilings, private loggias, and 360-degree views of the skyline, East River, and Central Park.

Penthouses are listed from $21.5M (PH77) to $65M (PH80); sales launched in 2023.

Williamsburgh Savings Bank Tower Hall
After the scene at the iconic Beaux-Arts–style Grand Central Terminal in Midtown Manhattan, the scene continues at the Williamsburgh Savings Bank Tower Hall in Brooklyn.

This 1929 banking room, designed like a cathedral with a 63-foot-high nave, mosaics, sculptures, and vaulted ceilings, is one of the locations used as the Continental Hotel in John Wick's movies.

Long Beach boardwalk
The scene by the seaside was filmed on the boardwalk in Long Beach, New York.

The season ends at NYC's 843-acre urban oasis in Manhattan, Central Park.

Season Two Locations

The Night Agent location
In the first episode of the second season, "Call Tracking", Peter and another agent, Alice, are on a mission in Bangkok, Thailand.

They are staying at Sindhorn Village, a luxurious development in Langsuan area, near Lumpini Park.

The village features boutique retail, fine dining, and the five-star Sindhorn Kempinski Hotel, as shown in the picture.

The Night Agent Thailand
The next scene takes place at Wat Pho Buddhist temple, one of Bangkok's most iconic tourist spots.

Located near the Grand Palace, it is renowned for housing the massive gold-plated Reclining Buddha statue, which measures 46 meters in length.

Yaowarat Road Bangkok Chinatown
There are a couple of establishing shots of Yaowarat Road, located in Bangkok’s Chinatown, the bustling food street famous for its flashy neon signs.

Temple massive Buddha statue in Bangkok
The night sequence features the Buddha statue at Wat Paknam Phasi Charoen as a backdrop.

The temple is known for its Instagram-worthy, massive seated Buddha statue, which towers over 226 feet (69 meters) and is visible from afar.

The Night Agent house
Peter's apartment is located in an old block at 73 Monroe Street in the Lower East Side neighborhood of New York.

The building sits in a spectacular location just beneath the Manhattan Bridge, which appears massive compared to this five-story structure, constructed in 1910.

In Washington D.C., President Michelle Travers (played by Kari Matchett) holds a meeting at the Willard InterContinental Hotel.

Established in 1818, this elegant hotel has hosted presidents, diplomats, and other notable figures over the years.

Kings Fried Chicken was a real fast food restaurant, now permanently closed, located at 116-23 Jamaica Avenue in Richmond Hill, NY.

Abandoned movie theater New York
We are not 100% sure about this one, but the abandoned movie theater may be the old Corona Plaza Theater on Roosevelt Avenue, Queens.

Rajamangala Stadium in Bangkok
In the second episode, "Disconnected", Peter flies over Rajamangala Stadium in Bangkok.

The helicopter lands at the Skywalk Condominium, home to the chic Cielo Sky Bar & Restaurant, which offers stunning panoramic views of the city skyline.

Doyers Street Manhattan Chinatown
In the third episode, "Government Property", there is a sequence filmed in the historic Chinatown neighborhood of Manhattan.

Known for its distinctive, curved shape, Doyers Street has been featured in hundreds of productions, including John Wick 3.

The Wynnfield Hotel

Wynnfield Hotel NY
The InterContinental New York Barclay Hotel served as the fictional Wynnfield Hotel.

Located in Midtown Manhattan near Grand Central Terminal, this luxury hotel opened in 1926.

This scene in the fourth episode, "Desperate Measures", was filmed at North 5th Street Pier and Park in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

This scenic waterfront location offers beautiful views of the East River and the Manhattan skyline.

The Night Agent Cemetery
Calvary Cemetery, located in the Astoria neighborhood of Queens, is one of the largest cemeteries in the United States.

Established in 1848, it spans over 365 acres and is known for its beautiful landscapes and monumental graves, with views of the modern Kosciuszko Bridge.

The flashback manor scene seventeen years ago in the eighth episode, "Divergence", takes place at Coe Hall Historic House Museum.

Located within Planting Fields Arboretum State Historic Park in Oyster Bay, Long Island, this grand historic mansion, built in the 1920s, is open to the public for tours.

United Nations Headquarters
The ninth episode, "Cultural Exchange", features the United Nations Headquarters located along the East River in Manhattan.

However, the interior was filmed in the lobby of the Conrad New York Downtown, a luxury all-suite hotel in Lower Manhattan, near the Hudson River.

The Roosevelt Island Tram Cabin is an aerial tramway that connects Roosevelt Island to Manhattan, running parallel to the Queensboro Bridge.

The movie theater is the Queens Theater, located on Jamaica Avenue at Springfield Boulevard. It is an abandoned building that is up for sale, I believe. I used to live in this area. It is right by the Long Island Railroad stop.

I think the movie theater is the old Corona Plaza theater in Queens, at 103rd St and Roosevelt Avenue. I recognize the side and fire escape from which they leave the theater.

A number of scenes were filmed in Pearl River at the old Pfizer Drug campus, including the scenes when they are manufacturing the chemical weapon.

Filming location of Freya’s apartment in season 3 is finally the Sutton Tower penthouse, spreading over the entire 80th and 81st floors of the building on 430 E 58th St. The penthouse hasn't been sold yet. Asking price is $65M.
