Where was Cross filmed? An (almost) complete guide to all the locations

Set in Washington, D.C., Cross was filmed partly in the nation's capital, but mostly in and around Toronto, Ontario.

Based on James Patterson's popular Alex Cross novels, the second season of Cross began filming before the first season was released.

Aldis Hodge and Isaiah Mustafa

The series explores the character's early career, with Aldis Hodge portraying the homicide detective and forensic psychologist.

Cross teams up with Detective John Sampson, played by Isaiah Mustafa, as they track some of America’s most ruthless and dangerous criminals.

The Cross locations

Cross location
The Metropolitan Police Department in the first episode, "Hero Complex", was filmed in the Automotive Building at the Exhibition Place complex in Toronto.

Opened in 1929, the building was designed in the Beaux-Arts architectural style and was originally used to display automotive exhibits during the early years of the Canadian National Exhibition (CNE).

Cross house
The Black Lives Matter activist Emir Goodspeed's family house is in the Woodsworth Housing Co-operative Development project, located south of the St. Lawrence neighborhood in Toronto.

Liuna Station
At the event, Elle (played by Samantha Walkes) introduces Ed Ramsey (Ryan Eggold) to Alex at the Liuna Station in Hamilton.

Originally built as a railroad station in the early 20th century, this magnificent local landmark is now a popular venue for weddings and events of all kinds.

Cross church
The candlelit church scene in the first image of this article is the Kingsway-Lambton United Church in Etobicoke, Ontario.

However, the establishing shot, shown here, is from the Cathedral of St. Matthew the Apostle in Washington, D.C., which features a completely different architectural style—Romanesque Revival with mosaics and a dome, compared to the Gothic Revival style with extensive woodwork and vaulted ceilings.

Ben's Chili Bowl restaurant
There is a scene with Lieutenant Massey and Cross, and several others throughout the series, filmed at the original Ben's Chili Bowl restaurant in the U Street Corridor neighborhood in Washington, D.C.

Established in 1958, the restaurant has a long history as a gathering place for politicians and celebrities.

Ride the White Horsey
The house featured in the second episode, "Ride the White Horsey", at 41 Price Street is a 1914 heritage property located in Rosedale, Toronto.

Known for its picturesque, winding streets, Rosedale is one of the city's most prestigious and historic neighborhoods, located just north of the downtown core.

Fort York Motel Mississauga
The motel is the Fort York Motel in Mississauga. This family-owned motel was also a filming location in the Reacher series.

Glenn Creek Cemetery
The fictional Glenn Creek Cemetery in the third episode, "The Good Book", is actually the Brampton Cemetery in Ontario.

The metal letters on the entrance gate of the cemetery were digitally altered.

Jessie Taylor Seafood
Jessie Taylor Seafood is located on The Wharf in Washington, D.C., in the historic Municipal Fish Market.

Founded in 1939 and named for the Evans family fishing boat, the business originally brought in fresh seafood from the Chesapeake Bay.

LGS Film Studio
The old Jefferson School, where the rave takes place, is located in a building in the Industrial Sector B of Hamilton, Ontario.

This is home to the LGS Film Studio, a facility for filmmakers that has been used for projects such as Resident Evil, Paranormal, and Haunted Hospitals.

Cross series mansion
Ed Ramsey's home is the Parkwood National Historic Site in Oshawa, a grand Beaux-Arts mansion built between 1915 and 1940.

The mansion has 55 rooms decorated with period furnishings and decorative art, and several greenhouses like the one seen in the first episode.

This house has also been featured in many other productions shot in Ontario, including The Umbrella Academy, The Boys, and more recently you may have seen it as a key filming location in the The Madness Amazon series.

Freedom Plaza Washington
In the fourth episode, 'Masks,' there is a scene filmed at Freedom Plaza in Washington, D.C.

Named in honor of Martin Luther King Jr., the plaza is situated between the White House and the U.S. Capitol.

Cherry Street Bascule Bridge
The metal bridge is the Cherry Street Bascule Bridge in Toronto's Port Lands area.

Built in 1931, this structure carries Cherry Street over the Ship Channel, allowing ships to pass through using its counterweighted lifting mechanism.

Tom's Dairy Freeze
The burger fast-food restaurant in the sixth episode, "A Bang, Not a Whimper", is Tom's Dairy Freeze in Etobicoke, Toronto.

This retro ice cream shop has been serving its beloved soft-serve ice cream since 1969.

Beasley Park Hamilton
This location in the seventh episode, "Happy Birthday", is the former Cannon Knitting Mills in Beasley Park, Hamilton.

With over 110,000 square feet of space, this location is available for rent before it is transformed into a new loft development.

Diamond Teague Park in Washington DC
One of the final scenes of the series finale was filmed at Diamond Teague Park in Washington, D.C.

Opened in 2010 on the southeast bank of the Anacostia River, the park overlooks the distinctive three-arch Frederick Douglass Memorial Bridge.

Where was the Cult Mansion that was an Airbnb and former cat house at 41 Price Street? It's in episode 3 where they discover the secret basement and the owner has the same cult tattoo as the antagonist character.

What museums is that in episode 2 where they had to give up their phones… or was that a set design?
