Restaurants on the Edge follows three food experts traveling the world to rescue struggling restaurants located at breathtaking locations. Former musician, food stylist and passionate chef Dennis Prescott joined award-winning interior designer Karin Bohn and guru restaurateur Nick Liberato (who appeared for three seasons on Spike TVs hit show Bar Rescue), to give failing eateries one last chance to succeed. They spent 2019 travelling Europe, Asia and America, bailing out restaurants at incredible spots that are usually hidden away.

In each episode, the hosts embark on a journey to the culture and context of the country where they are, to unleash the true potential of the featured establishment. The magic of television will transform outdated and drab restaurants into vibrant and profitable business.

According to some reports, up to 13 episodes have been projected, including more locations in Finland, Arizona, Slovenia or Hawaii. However, a recent press release from the producer company Marblemedia (the same team behind the glass-blowing competition series Blown Away), states that the first season is going to be released including six episodes only. The initial Restaurants on the Edge locations were filmed in Malta, Hong Kong, Canada, Costa Rica, Austria and St. Lucia. Doing some research we already found all the locations where the series were filmed:

Where was Restaurants on the Edge filmed
The roadside casual eating house of Sue and Fluffy is perched in a spectacular setting at Marigot Bay, in the Caribbean island nation of St. Lucia. However, the restaurant had no real identity or regular customers to help get them through the ups and downs of the business. Tai O Banyan Tree - Hong Kong

The show was also experiencing the cultural shock of Hong Kong, diving into the local idiosyncrasy of one of the Asian metropolis last fishing villages. The large Lantau Island offers quiet mountains, a lake and charming villages that seem a world away from the bustling downtown streets.
