The show, inspired in Spain’s 2011 series Gran Hotel (set in the year 1905), is an up-to-date remake, telling the story of the characters revolving around the last family-owned hotel in Miami, Riviera Grand.

Actress Eva Longoria (Desperate Housewives) executive produces this soap opera, starring Demian Bichir (A Better Life, The Nun) as the hotel owner, Santiago Mendoza; Roselyn Sanchez (Devious Maids) plays his second wife Gigi. Denyse Tontz (The Fosters) performs Santiago's daughter Alicia Mendoza, and Lincoln Younes (Home and Away) plays Danny, a waiter member of the staff.

The fictional Riviera Grand was filmed in the veteran luxury hotel Fontainebleau Miami Beach, where most of the action takes place.

The Fontainebleau is one of the most famous Miami Beach hotels.

It was designed by architect Morris Lapidus and is located in the mid-20th Century Historic District of the city, in front of the Atlantic Ocean.

According to Wikipedia, the resort includes 1,504 rooms, 12 restaurants and bars, swimming pools, and an oceanfront poolscape.

During its already long life, The hotel was featured in multiple productions, from James Bond's Goldfinger to Police Academy 5, The Sopranos to Whitney Houston's The Bodyguard.
