Captain Marvel is a super-blockbuster about the most super-powerful hero in the galaxy. On this occasion, the Earth is caught in the middle of a cosmic conflict between Skrulls and Kree, two alien races at war.

Captain Marvel was filmed in and around Los Angeles, California, and also a few scenes were set in Louisiana.

The action is set in 1995, taking place before the events depicted in all the Avengers films (before they even existed as a group).

Oscar-winning Room actress Brie Larson stars in the film as Vers/Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel. Samuel L. Jackson, who was digitally de-aged, plays the future director of S.H.I.E.L.D., two-eyed Nick Fury. Jude Law is Danvers' mentor, Yon-Rogg.

Here is our spoiler-free report of the filming locations of this long-awaited movie:

  1. The desert scene was Zebra Lounge on Sierra Hwy in Rosamond CA

  2. Which plantation in Louisiana? Outside of Baton Rouge, but where exactly?

    1. I’m not 100% positive because I didn’t see the movie but I was flying nearby one day and saw all of the movie equipment trucks and what looked like a grass runway. So I asked another local pilot just now and he told me that’s what they were filming. The coordinates are: 30°10’10”N 91°13’43”W which is 5 miles west of White Castle, LA

  3. The Blockbuster was actually rebuilt on the backside of 6321 Laurel Canyon Blvd, just around the corner of 6440 Bellingham Avenue.
