Walton University in Roommates
The real Walton University is an amalgam of various locations in New Jersey.
Roommates opens with an establishing shot of Johnson Hall, a key building on the Johnson & Johnson World Headquarters campus, adjacent to Rutgers University in New Brunswick.
Serving corporate functions, this elegant building is crowned by a monumental 30-foot-tall cupola clock tower.
However, many exteriors at Walton University were filmed at Drew University in Madison, located 25 miles west of New York City.
Founded in 1867, its serene 186-acre wooded campus, dubbed the "University in the Forest," occupies the former Gibbons estate, blending Greek Revival, Gothic, and neoclassical architecture amid suburban Morris County greenery.

The girls stay at Asbury Hall, one of the oldest residence halls at Drew University.
Not sure if the rooms have pink toilets, but the residence hall hosts Drew’s domestic and international students.

The graduation ceremony was filmed at the Montclair High School, New Jersey's oldest continuously operating high school since its 1886 founding.
The school is located in Montclair's vibrant Essex County enclave, split between the main building and the George Inness Annex.

The Frosh Orientation scene looks like it was filmed at the Essex County TreeTop Adventure Course at Turtle Back Zoo in West Orange.
This adventure park offers thrilling aerial obstacle challenges up to 35 feet high.

The Roommates house
Devon's family home is a grand single-family Victorian house built in 1887 in Upper Montclair.
Featuring seven bedrooms, high ceilings, turret rooms, and a front porch, the property was last sold for $745K in 2013, with a current estimated value of around $2.2M.

Demarest Hall, built in 1950 on Rutgers University's College Avenue Campus in New Brunswick, served as Addison Hall.
This is a compact co-ed traditional residence hall featured several times in the movie and houses 170 students in singles, doubles, and suites.

The library scene was filmed at the beautiful Gardner A. Sage Library of New Brunswick Theological Seminary on Rutgers' College Avenue Campus.
Housed in a striking Gothic Revival building dubbed the "jewel of the campus," it does not focus on architecture but on theological resources.

Biggies Clam Bar is the real name of the pub where the girls have shots, located in Carlstadt.
This is a family-owned seafood staple since 1946, specializing in fresh clams, oysters, wings, pizzas, burgers, and late-night vibes.

The snow-covered images of the campus were filmed at several locations, mostly using stock footage.
The image pictured is from Drew University. Later on, it appears a shot from the University of Chicago.
The filmmakers also included a snow-blanketed staircase from Hiroshima University in Japan and the building with a bell tower is Eliot House at Harvard University in Boston, Massachusetts.

Here is yet another Walton University campus scene filmed at a different location: the Loyola Jesuit Center in Morristown is a serene Jesuit retreat house on 30 acres of lawns, gardens, and woods, located 30 miles from NYC.

Without leaving New Jersey, the Spring Break pool party in Florida was filmed at the Ocean Place Resort and Spa, a beachfront luxury hotel in Long Branch, between NYC and Atlantic City.
Featuring ocean-view rooms, a full-service spa, and indoor/outdoor pools, room rates typically range from $250–$350 per night on average.

The WaltonCon is held at the Richard Weeks Hall of Engineering, a flagship 106,000 square feet facility on Rutgers University's Busch Campus in Piscataway.
Opened in 2018, the $84M, four-story building houses civil and environmental engineering, advanced manufacturing labs, robotics, rapid prototyping spaces, and collaborative areas designed to foster interdisciplinary innovation.
