Evelyn Bay in Tasmania

Throughout the series, we frequently see establishing shots of Fossil Island, located at the southern tip of Pirates Bay in Eaglehawk Neck.
This striking location plays a key role in the show, with many scenes filmed in and around the area.

Accessible in the series only at low tide, the eerie sea cave exterior was filmed at Tasman Arch, situated just south of Fossil Island.
In real life, this site is reachable from above via a walking track and is part of a stunning cluster of coastal features, including the Blowhole and Devil’s Kitchen.

The airport where Kieran and Mia arrive is actually The Grandstand building, a premier spectator area at Flemington Racecourse in Melbourne.
Flemington is to Australia what Ascot is to the UK: established in 1840, this famous horse racing venue is home to the prestigious Melbourne Cup.

The road leading into the town, with the green Evelyn Bay sign, runs south along Pirates Bay toward Fossil Island and Tasman Arch.

Verity and Brian's home is a seafront house in Taroona, a scenic coastal suburb approximately 15 minutes south of Tasmania’s capital, Hobart.
According to real estate websites, this property, built in 1963, features four bedrooms and two bathrooms.

Below the house lies the small but charming Hinsby Beach, with the bathing boxes.

However, this is not the beach where the body is found, and where several other scenes were filmed.
That location is Descent Beach in Pirates Bay, Eaglehawk Neck.

Church Street in Geeveston served as Evelyn Bay's main street.
Geeveston is a small town in southern Tasmania, roughly an hour’s drive southwest of Hobart, on the route to Hartz Mountains National Park.

The local bar Surf N’ Turf is actually located more than 50 kilometers (about 31 miles) from Geeveston.
The Fern Tree Tavern is a country pub nestled on the slopes of kunanyi/Mt Wellington, just outside Hobart.

The scene with Liam holding the rifle was filmed near the Fossil Bay Lookout.
In the second episode, Trish throws a small backpack into the sea just below this cliff.

The Evelyn Bay Dive Centre dock is actually the Pirates Bay boat ramp, located next to Fossil Island.
The studio work, including the scenes inside the cave, was filmed at Docklands Studios in Melbourne.

The Three Capes Track is a 48 km (30 mile) coastal hike on Tasmania’s Tasman Peninsula, offering dramatic sea cliffs and breathtaking views.
This four-day trek includes everything from basic camping to comfortable hut accommodation and is one of Australia’s premier multi-day walks.

Locals would recognize the Tasman Bridge, which appears in a couple of establishing shots.
Opened in 1965, this iconic structure connects Hobart’s city centre to its eastern suburbs.
