St. Anthony's is a mansion in Beauharnois, QC, named Manoir Thibaudeau.

I am enjoying watching the three pines series, but the landscape is nothing like described in the books. It was in a valley quite hidden from the world. The church was on a hill and small. It had heavily forested surroundings. None of this is what it looks like in the Amazon Prime series.

The exterior of the hotel in episodes 5 and 6 is the old Shriners Hospital in Montreal.

I don't get why they filmed the cruelest season in autumn instead of the spring as it should have been.

Beautiful locations. As for differences from books, remember the needs of the camera, crew, supplies, and cost.

I agree with Michelle - it needs to be a small village, a smaller church, and more hidden away. On the other hand, it is quite good overall, and Ruth is perfectly cast.

Rosa was perfectly cast, other than looking like a goose.

The building used for the SQ scenes is not the law faculty of the Université de Montréal, it is the former business faculty building.

I believe SQ headquarters is the law library at Université de Montréal.
