The new Netflix comedy movie The Lovebirds was filmed in the city of New Orleans, and this is a great opportunity to tour some interesting locations of the beautiful Crescent City.

Jibran (Kumail Nanjiani) and Leilani (Issa Rae) are a couple on the brink of a breakup who gets accidentally involved in the murder of a biker.

The comic duo will try to clear their names, sort out the mystery, and save their relationship on the fly.

The theatrical release of this hilarious romance movie was a collateral victim of the crisis, so Netflix bought the rights to Paramount Pictures to stream the movie worldwide.

Set also in New Orleans, many are wondering Where Project Power was filmed, the new Jamie Foxx movie that shares several filming locations with The Lovebirds.

The Lovebirds street where the couple hits the cyclist was filmed at Commerce Street and Notre Dame in the Warehouse District.

The chase continues in the streets of the area until the dramatic run-over takes place in a private alley between 309 Magazine Street and Picayune Place (pictured). The film crew had to clean up and restore the area for filming.

The Eyes Wide Shut style masquerade party of the secret society called Sacrarium was filmed in The Civic Theatre, situated in the Central Business District.

Built in 1906, this is the city's oldest theatre. Privately owned, it was about to be transformed into condos or a parking garage, as it happened to the Michigan Theater in downtown Detroit.

However, the real estate developer who bought the space in the early 2000s decided to restore it to its former glory, modernizing the venue with the latest technology, in a balanced juxtaposition of old and new.
