Dirty John is a popular true-crime podcast published by Los Angeles Times. Transformed into TV series for Bravo, the show is has been released internationally on Netflix.

Dirty John was primarily filmed in and around Los Angeles, including Long Beach, Newport Beach, and Calabasas.

The series is back for Season 2, this time portraying The Betty Broderick Story, starring Christian Slater and Amanda Peet.

Where is Dirty John filmed

In season one, Australian actor Eric Bana (Chopper, Munich) was John Meehan, a charismatic sociopath that seduced Debra Newell, played by Connie Britton (Nashville, American Horror Story). Debra's daughters were performed by Juno Temple (Vinyl, Atonement) and Julia Garner (Ozark, Maniac).

Dirty John house
In the series, the luxurious getaway rented house of the couple is located in the exclusive Balboa Island. However, Atlas of Wonders has tracked down the exact address of the front line sea property, located at 47 Vista Del Golfo in Naples Island (Long Beach).

Dirty John Island

Marriage venue
The flashback scenes of John’s wedding with his first wife Tonia in Dayton (Ohio), were filmed in the Long Beach Petroleum Club at 3636 Linden Avenue.

The real Dead to Me city where the series is shot in San Pedro is also located very close to this neighborhood.

Season 2 Locations: The Betty Broderick Story

Betty Broderick home
The Tab reported that Betty Broderick’s home is a magnificent three-bedroom property with sea views located at 1400 Paseo Del Mar in the Valley in Chatsworth, a nice neighborhood in Los Angeles.

House Location in Toluca Lake
Dan Broderick's new house is located at 10355 Woodbridge Street in Toluca Lake. Built in 1967, the mansion boasts four bedrooms, a swimming pool, and has an estimated market value of about $2,900,000 according to Realtor.

Broderick family house
In the second episode, "The Turtle and the Alligator", the Broderick family moves into their family home at 2350 Dunbar Boulevard in San Diego. This house was actually filmed at 19854 Dina Place in Chatsworth.

Malaga Cove Plaza
The restaurant in episode 3, "Marriage Encounter", is the Bistro Garden at Coldwater in the Studio City neighborhood of Los Angeles.

In the image, the picturesque Malaga Cove Plaza with the Neptune Fountain located in beautiful Rancho Palos Verdes Estates that appears in the fourth episode, "More to It Than Fun".

What church did they use for DJ? Is it located in Newport Beach?

The Tab reported that Betty Broderick's home is a magnificent three-bedroom ocean view property located at 1400 Paseo Del Mar in the Valley in Chatsworth, a nice neighborhood in Los Angeles.

This is not in Chatsworth, I grew up and went to school less than a mile from this home and the second I saw it I could tell you exactly where it was. It is located in Palos Verdes Estates.
